Chapter 1 The Lost Child

Child Goes to a Spring Fair with his parents
It is the festival of spring and everyone, in a happy mood, is going to the fair. The child is going to the fair with his parents. He is very happy and excited. On the way to the fair, the child enjoys every moment and gets fascinated towards natural beauty.
In the fair, the child is attracted towards sweets and toys displayed in the shops He feels attracted towards the garland of Gulmohar and the delicious Gulab Jamuns; but his parents resist from buying anything for him. The child wants to play, climb trees, catch the dragonflies and butterflies; but again, his parents won’t let him do any of this. The child sees snake-charmer. He likes music played by the charmer and wants to stay there for sometime but his parents do not approve. As the child moves on with his parents, he sees a roundabout. Then he says “I want to go on the roundabout, please father, mother.”
यह वसंत का त्योहार है और हर कोई खुशी के मूड में मेले में जा रहा है। बच्चा अपने माता-पिता के साथ मेले में जा रहा है। वह बहुत खुश और उत्साहित हैं। मेले के रास्ते में बच्चा हर पल का लुत्फ उठाता है और प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य की ओर आकर्षित हो जाता है।
मेले में बच्चा दुकानों में लगी मिठाइयों और खिलौनों की ओर आकर्षित होता है गुलमोहर की माला और स्वादिष्ट गुलाब जामुन की ओर आकर्षित होता है; लेकिन उसके माता-पिता उसके लिए कुछ भी खरीदने से कतराते हैं। बच्चा खेलना चाहता है, पेड़ों पर चढ़ना चाहता है, व्याध पतंगों और तितलियों को पकड़ना चाहता है; लेकिन फिर, उसके माता-पिता उसे ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं करने देंगे। बच्चा सपेरे को देखता है। वह जादूगर द्वारा बजाया गया संगीत पसंद करता है और कुछ समय के लिए वहाँ रहना चाहता है लेकिन उसके माता-पिता को यह मंजूर नहीं है। जैसे ही बच्चा अपने माता-पिता के साथ आगे बढ़ता है, वह एक गोल चक्कर देखता है। फिर वह कहता है “मैं गोल चक्कर पर जाना चाहता हूँ, कृपया पिताजी, माँ।”
The Child Gets Lost in the Fair
After requesting his parents boldly for a roundabout, the child turns back. But, to his surprise, no sign of his parents is there. He searches for his parents here and there. The child realises that he is now separated from his parents and he is lost. He starts crying bitterly.
अपने माता-पिता से साहसपूर्वक एक गोलचक्कर के लिए अनुरोध करने के बाद, बच्चा वापस मुड़ जाता है। लेकिन, उसके आश्चर्य के लिए, उसके माता-पिता का कोई पता नहीं है। वह इधर-उधर अपने माता-पिता को खोजता है। बच्चे को पता चलता है कि अब वह अपने माता-पिता से अलग हो गया है और वह खो गया है। वह फूट-फूट कर रोने लगता है।
A kind-hearted Man Meets the Child
There is a big crowd and the little child tries to make his way between the feet of people. After hearing the cry of the child, a gentleman lends a helping hand to him. This gentleman offers goodies and joy rides in order to console the lost child but the child will have none of them. Instead, he longs to meet his parents.
बहुत भीड़ है और छोटा बच्चा लोगों के पैरों के बीच अपना रास्ता बनाने की कोशिश करता है। बच्चे के रोने की आवाज सुनकर एक सज्जन उसकी मदद के लिए हाथ बढ़ाते हैं। यह सज्जन खोए हुए बच्चे को सांत्वना देने के लिए उपहार और खुशी की सवारी प्रदान करते हैं लेकिन बच्चे के पास इनमें से कोई भी नहीं होगा। इसके बजाय, वह अपने माता-पिता से मिलने के लिए तरसता है।
Conclusion of The Lost Child
The chapter – The Lost Child illustrates the lesson to students that children love their parents unconditionally. Although parents rebuke their children sometimes for their good, children always want their parents around them and feel lost in their absence.
अध्याय – द लॉस्ट चाइल्ड छात्रों को यह पाठ दिखाता है कि बच्चे अपने माता-पिता से बिना शर्त प्यार करते हैं। हालाँकि माता-पिता कभी-कभी अपने बच्चों को उनकी भलाई के लिए डाँटते हैं, बच्चे हमेशा अपने माता-पिता को अपने आस-पास चाहते हैं और उनकी अनुपस्थिति में खोया हुआ महसूस करते हैं।
